Junaid Athar

Junaid Athar joined the KEEN Chicago Board of Directors in 2026. He is a finance and data engineering leader with experience spanning Big Tech, manufacturing, and consumer industries. He currently works at Comcast, where he supports enterprise-scale data and analytics initiatives, and has previously held senior roles at Meta (Facebook) and Wayfair.

Junaid began his career in accounting and finance, earning his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Over time, he transitioned into data engineering and AI-driven systems, where he has led teams building scalable data platforms and decision-support tools for large, complex organizations.

In addition to his professional background, Junaid is an entrepreneur and community-minded leader with a strong interest in education, workforce development, and inclusive access to opportunity. He brings a blend of financial discipline, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to nonprofit governance.

Junaid lives in the Chicago area with his family and is honored to support KEEN Chicago’s mission of empowering youth through mentorship, movement, and community.
