Mike Bettinardi

Mike began volunteering with KEEN in 2020 by supporting the KEEN podcast and several virtual activities. Once in person sessions resumed, he saw the massive impact KEEN had on both athletes and families and decided to join the coaches committee to aid the program in other ways. Mike has spearheaded events such as KEEN at the Park (Event with White Sox) as well as the annual fundraiser, KEEN Madness.

Mike is a CNC machinist by trade, and has grown up in a family-run, medical device manufacturing company. One of the reason’s Mike has a soft spot for the KEEN mission is his company’s ongoing partnership with the Sertoma Centre and hiring of adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Eugene, a longtime coworker and family friend, came to the company from Sertoma and has been an integral part of the team there for over 40 years. Mike is inspired by Eugene’s ability to make people smile and brighten their day, and hopes to honor him by supporting those in the KEEN community.
