About Us Planning Committee Coaches Committee				Program Director Bethany Cook Bethany Cook is currently pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She received her Master of Art in Music Therapy at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and has a Bachelor of Music from Western Michigan University. Her experience includes working with children and adults with various disabilities. Using music therapy techniques, Bethany works with clients to; increase self-esteem, peer socialization, anger management, self-expression, stress management, gross and fine motor movements, reality orientation, teach academic and daily living skills, and other goals. Along with working with children, Bethany presents nationally at conferences about music therapy and its many benefits. In addition, she assisted in the development of a Wellness Program for corporations to use with their staff to decrease stress and improve the quality of their work. Bethany is currently working on increasing programming for KEEN Chicago. She is open to any and all suggestions and looks forward to a year filled with growth for everyone involved with KEEN.
